The Women of Evergreen Businesses organization held our first Creekside Cellars fundraiser in July of 2007. In just 3 hours, the organization raised over $2,000 to support causes in the Evergreen community. Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. A check for $3,000 was presented to the Mt. Hope Cancer Center to help offset their operating costs.
Why the WEB was formed and continues to thrive: support, education-business growth, friendship, advertising opportunities, and to help and support other women business owners. The main reason always cycles back to support, both for our business growth and as individuals (emotionally). Many members have stated that working from the home makes it hard to connect with other women in the same situations. The WEB offers lots of connection opportunities, both business-wise and personal.
All members should be ready for a reciprocal relationship: to bring something to the organization, and to expect something from the group as well. Top
The Women of Evergreen Businesses Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and one member from each of our committees: Advertising, Membership, Member Support, Nominating, and Special Events/Community Relations. Meetings are held once monthly, generally two weeks following the General Meeting.
WEB General Membership meetings are held the second Monday of the month, usually from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Time and location is left to the discretion of the person hosting the meeting.

We utilize a number of news publications in the Mountain Area for advertising purposes: the Canyon Courier, Mountain Connection and Serenity. In previous years, the group has opted to advertise in the annual Chamber of Commerce Directory. We will attempt group advertising on at least a quarterly basis. If anyone has additional advertising ideas, please let the Advertising Committee or any member of the Executive Committee know.
